Sometimes the authorization file on your computer becomes corrupt. Refreshing your Adobe ID credentials can often reset the handshake between your device and the server. Open Adobe Digital Editions. Press Ctrl+Shift+D (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+D (Mac). Select "Erase Authorization." Close the program and reopen it. Attempt to download the ebook license
Locate the old .acsm file in your "Downloads" folder and delete it. Open Adobe Digital Editions
Ensure the "Set time automatically" and "Set time zone automatically" options are toggled on.
If they are already on, toggle them off and back on to force a sync. Restart Adobe Digital Editions and try the download again. Deauthorize and Reauthorize ADE
