It was specifically designed to read files published with the ArcGIS Publisher 10.1 extension. Notably, PMFs are forward-compatible: a map created in version 10.0 will work in 10.1, but maps created in later versions like 10.2 will not work in 10.1. Maps can be printed at any scale without
