This is the step where most people get stuck. On a 64-bit Windows 7 machine, there are two different "ODBC Data Source Administrator" tools.

To ensure security, always download directly from the Microsoft Download Center. Search for "Microsoft ODBC Driver 13.1 for SQL Server" . Click the Download button. This is the step where most people get stuck
If you are running a 32-bit application on Windows 7, you need the 32-bit (x86) driver, even if your Windows 7 version is 64-bit. Which Driver Version Do You Need? You will not see your 32-bit driver there

Go to the tab to verify "ODBC Driver 13 for SQL Server" appears. Go to the System DSN tab to create your connection. Troubleshooting Common Issues
