To rip copy-protected DVDs with HandBrake, you must download and install , a software library that decrypts the Content Scramble System (CSS) used on almost all commercial discs. Since HandBrake does not include this decryption software natively to avoid legal complexities, you must add it manually to your system. On Windows, you need to place a specific dynamic-link library (.dll) file directly into the HandBrake installation folder.
