Select 'CIN Based View' (Challan Identification Number). Enter Details: You will need to provide: BSR Code of the Axis Bank branch (7 digits). Date of tender (the day you paid). Challan Serial Number.

Go to the Protean (formerly NSDL) Challan Status Inquiry page.

Enter the Captcha code and click ‘Filter.’ The portal will display the status of your challan. While this isn't a "bank-branded" receipt, it is a legally valid confirmation of your tax deposit. Method 3: Visiting an Axis Bank Branch

If you cannot find the record in your bank portal, or if you made the payment over the counter at a branch, you can retrieve the confirmation from the official Income Tax portal.

For payments made offline via a cheque or cash at a physical branch, you may need to visit the bank in person if you lost the original counterfoil.
