Capture NX-D was originally launched in 2014 as the successor to Capture NX 2. It was designed for "full-scale development" of RAW (.NEF and .NRW) files, featuring Nikon's genuine RAW processing engine to ensure color accuracy and detail. However, users often had to switch between Capture NX-D (for editing) and ViewNX-i (for browsing and management).
