Before you go on a downloading spree, keep these Spotify "rules" in mind:

To see your progress, look for the "Downloading..." bar at the bottom of the screen. On Desktop (PC & Mac) Open the Spotify Desktop app. Go to the playlist or album. Click the (the arrow icon).

On some phones, downloads pause if the app is closed or the screen turns off. Keep the app open until the green arrow appears.
