The Update Manager (now largely superseded by vSphere Lifecycle Manager) is bundled within the vCenter Server installer. To use it, you simply download the vCenter Server Appliance (VCSA) ISO from the Broadcom Support Portal.
VMware vSphere Update Manager (VUM) has historically been the primary tool for centralizing and automating the patching and upgrading of ESXi hosts and virtual machines. While it was a standalone extension in older versions, it is now fully integrated into vCenter Server.
You do not need to download "vSphere Update Manager" as a separate application if you are using modern versions of vSphere (6.5 and later).
Once vCenter is installed, you access the Update Manager interface through the vSphere Client by navigating to Menu > Lifecycle Manager (or Update Manager in legacy versions). The Shift to vSphere Lifecycle Manager (vLCM)
