DC++ does not have a traditional "Pause" button like some modern web browsers. Instead, it uses a priority system. If you want to temporarily stop a download to free up bandwidth for something else, right-click the file in your Download Queue and set the "Priority" to "Paused." This keeps the file in your list and remembers your progress but prevents DC++ from attempting to connect to sources until you change the priority back to "Highest," "High," or "Normal." If you are currently downloading a file and want to stop it immediately, navigate to the Transfers window, which is usually located at the bottom of the DC++ interface.
